Beyond labels, the sustainable process behind dHive's system will reduce the overall impact of the built environment on human health and the natural environment.

Declare is a nutrition label for building products. It is designed to help specifiers quickly identify products that meet their project requirements. Declare labels disclose all intentionally-added ingredients and residuals at or above 100ppm (0.01%) present in the final product by weight. Each ingredient must be reported with a chemical name, CAS number, and percentage or percentage range.

Made in the USA

dHive demountable walls are made in the USA, specifically Maryland. When possible, dHive will always source glass locally to the job site. This helps to reduce our shipping impact, carbon footprint, and greenhouse emissions.

Reuse and Recycling

dHive demountable systems maintains a non-generational design to allow for reconfiguration and 100% reuse. Based on an agile platform, our solutions allow to flex between numerous and cohesive aesthetic choices, while adjusting acoustic performance choices to particular needs.

Materials

dHive products contain no hazardous materials or ozone depleting substances. Our entire system is Red List Free, to support healthy workplaces. Along with Declare, dHive glass and wood doors have Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) reports to the job site. This helps to reduce our shipping impact, carbon footprint, and greenhouse emissions.

Volatile Components in all dHive solutions are negligible, less than/equal to 0.5 mg/m3. dHive solutions meet Indoor Air Quality Certified to SCS-105 v4.2-2023, also conforming to the CDPH/EHLB Standard Method (CA 01350) v1.2-2017 for the school classroom, private office, and single-family residence scenarios.

Material Ingredients

dHive's entire demountable wall system meets the highest standard for Declare. LBC RED LIST FREE products disclose 100% of ingredients present at or above 100 ppm (0.01%) in the final product and do not contain any Red List chemicals.

Lifecycle

dHive demountable glass walls can be reconfigured and reused. They minimize waste and facilitate space flexibility to optimize environmental performance of products and materials.

Waste Management

dHive products produce significantly less debris than traditional construction, and dHive packaging materials can easily be recycled.

Material Reuse

dHive products can easily be relocated in the same building or another building provided the new location meets product adjustability tolerances.

Solid Waste Management - Durable Goods

dHive is a "no maintenance" product; any damaged part can be fixed onsite, lowering waste management and toxic emissions.

Sample Management

So that samples don't go to landfill and can get reused, dHive will take them back at your request when you are done with them. Just let us know!
